Happy Solstice!
Happy Solstice everyone! Happy Winter!
Keep the fires burning at home and in your heart. Love can illuminate these
hours of darkness.

*yawn*
I worked my last full shift at
[Dog-ma Daycare & Boarding] yesterday, and i'm certainly going to miss those puppies. I'll have time/ability to do project-type work there, and hopefully
i can still use their yard for occasional sculpture stuff.
...which means i'm going to make a pair of dog sculptures
for the yards (imagine a sort of bowtie shape yard when the middle gates are opened and the yards combine). Dog-ma is pretty
well known around "The Hill", and every now and again some local news channels have their morning shows from there, so what
harm could a little extra attention from two big metal dogs do? ;]
I'm also doing the research/homework as we begin
that graphic novel short on Romanian history. We being the person(maybe even 2 people) writing it, and of course me who'll
be throwing art at it. i'm also swinging my resume around the art/design/museum communities like a cricket bat in a yard full
of zombies. ...if i knew anything else about cricket, i'd continue the witty comparison, but it's early and we had friends
over lastnight to bitch about politics... and i found the Maker's Mark.
Today's Fungenda:
Celebrate a friend's birthday
by caravaning up to Baltimore's Aquarium (which has shown up periodically in my art, cause it's SO cool) and see da fishies.
I'm bringing my colored pencils and sketchy book.
...now would someone please hand me the Advil and turn off that
light?
...oh wait. That's the sun.

Amazon.com
I've reached stardom! I've reached fame and fortune! ...or something. I've alteast been listed on
[Amazon.com].
Or, if you want to look it up, go to Amazon and search for City Limits. Our book is right up there on the list,
all up front in your biz, for everyone to see.
Sweet.
...now if i could only get rid of this cold. I blame Darryl
in the mail room. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

Happy Birthday Ari!
Big Happy Birthday to my friend Ari!
The DJ that came to provide the-most-amazing-house-ever was also kind enough to be
relatively still while i drew his picture. If he ever needs album art... Yo, right here.

ouchouchouchouchouchouchouch
So the tooth that was broken essentially collapsed on my way home yesterday.
If you've never had that happen, it's
the most indescribably painful thing i've ever experienced. It's making me nauseous, and hurts to where my other teeth itch.
It's almost fascinating. Almost. Mostly, i just want the offending teeth ripped out. They said i needed root canals and
crowns and such, but i just can't afford it. This is the price to pay for poverty. Go fig.
[Edo:2k5] is approaching a stopping point (page #100), and i'm terribly excited. When it's at #100, i'm going back and editing the
first few and putting the story into some context, continuity, all those fancy words people use to describe stuff. I'm going
to keep the original pages up too, just not as a direct part of the story. I'm also going to do a lot more... ancillary?
Related art? Y'know, art from/about the comic that wasn't featured directly in the story. Architecture, character portraits,
vehicle/gadget designs and schematics, etc.
In the midst of comic nonsense, i'm making Christmas/Solstice (which is
several days before Christmas, so i'd better hustle!) and other winter-holiday-type gifts. It's alot of fun, and I think
it'll involve a bit of cooking/baking. I've got a jalapeņo cornbread recipie floating in my brain that needs a good gift-giving.
I'm
also working on my resume, trying to make it all pretty and professional so that a certain museum i work at would hopefully
hire me. *caughcaugh*
One last thing:
So i'm looking at the user/visiter map, and i can't tell you how cool it is
to see people from all over the world looking at my stuff.
One world. Much love.

1st day of December
4 hours into december and i'm already having nightmares.
i've never been in combat, but now i know what it sounds like
when people are tortured and then shot.
maybe i'm having other people's dreams.
Planet Earth shoutout to people

Estonia (who in Estonia gives a crap about me?)
Takoma
Park, Maryland (where rich hippies go to retire)
El Dorado, Kansas (city of gold?)
